CORRUGATED PIPE
CORRUGATED PIPE
Corrugated pipe is a steel pipe corrugated at right angle to the pipe direction. Five types are available, varying in waveform, cross-sectional shape and joint type.
Lightweight and high strength
Corrugated pipe is made from thin steel sheet and is very lightweight and easy to handle, with weight just 1/4 to 1/12 that of Hume pipes having the same diameter. Furthermore, because corrugated pipe is flexible and the load can be distributed, the stress is only 1/3 or so compared to that of rigid pipes such as Hume pipes.
Easy to install
Corrugated pipe does not require specialized personnel for field assembly and can be installed within a short time.
Excellent cost performance
Compared to other pipes, corrugated pipe costs relatively less as the diameter increases. Overall construction cost is also less because of advantages such as no breakage during installation, low transportation cost, and no special foundation requirements.
Easy to transport and store
Because corrugated pipes are packed by stacking arc and semicircular sections to avoid bulk, they require only a small space for storage.
